Chicago youth football team to protest after city’s plan to house migrants threatens to displace program

Occupants and a Chicago official have stood in opposition to city intends to change over a nearby field house into a sanctuary for transients, a move that they guarantee takes steps to dislodge a young football crew.

Chicago council member Chris Taliaferro made an announcement Monday affirming that he got notice the earlier week that the city planned to utilize the Amundsen Park field door to door around 200 travelers.

“On Friday, September 29, 2023, I was educated by Vice president of Staff Cristina Pacione-Zayas that a choice had been made to use Amundsen Park, 6200 W. Bloomingdale Ave., to house around 200 transients. The social occasion is booked for Friday night at 5:45 p.m.
